Traditionally we have done three Thanksgiving Baskets for participants in the School Homeless Program.  Frequently these have been families, or people, who are struggling to start housekeeping again, or just struggling to share a home with someone.  The baskets have always been deeply appreciated by the recipients and made a huge difference in their lives.   

We mentioned this at our October meeting and will collect donations for these baskets again at our November meeting,   The donations can be packaged NON-PERISHABLE food items, or cash/check and we (Nancy Bruce has been my willing assistant) will fill the baskets.  I just wanted to give you some advance notice on this.

Additionally, if you are bringing items for the Emergency Food Bank, they always need non -perishable food items and LARGE BROWN PAPER GROCERY BAGS. 
Items of  SPECIAL NEED continue to be SALTINE CRACKERS (Kroger frequently has for $1.00) and SNACK ITEMS (chips, cereal bars, cookies, pretzels, etc)
