Francis advised at the last meeting that the Food Bank is not getting the help it did last
year with the economy as it is. Donations were down about 4 1//2 tons from the prior year and supplies are running low.
Most needed items at the
Emergency Food Bank are:
cereal
dry pasta
We also provide school supply needs of several homeless students and families. School begins in August and
many sales opportunities will be available in the coming weeks.
Any school supplies, socks, and underwear.
Just bring the items to a meeting and Frances Lang will see that they make it to the correct
place.
Prevent Child Abuse:
This is a new organization we are helping. Several members have already donated furniture,
including cribs, play pens, etc. Call Francis if you are interested in helping this group.
